Want to be part of something cool and maybe bring cheap cell phone cases to life? Then you might be interested in Jawcase, a super cool new Droid X case.

This case from (LA entrepreneur) and cell phone case designer Heather Schmidt is a multi-purpose case that serves as a camera, video and GPS stand or car dash mount. Slip your Droid X phone into it and it will protect your mobile in style while also functioning as a stand should you decide to watch videos, surf or simply read an ebook.
Driving around town to run errands? Add Jawcase to your cars dashboard and drive talk hands-free. Remember that in many states it’s now illegal to drive and hold your cell at the same time. Not too mention text.
As for how it’s made? It’s plastic with several layers of protection to keep your mobile safe in the case of a drop, spill or slip.
What I personally dig about this case, is that it’s in the power of the people to bring it to life. Heather Schmidt is the mind behind Jawcase and essentially it’s crowd-sourced, which means that if enough people sign up for the pre-order then it gets funded and the case becomes a reality.
As of right now, it’s a concept. But if you like the idea behind the case sign up at Kickstarter and help make the this Droid X case available. You can pledge $5, $20 or $25. All of it goes to fund the manufacturing of the case.
